Session #1

    • Step 1:
      • Clear away processed sugar from the kitchen and educate around its inflammatory effects on the body.
      • Define major stressors.
        • Make a list of things that are within the client’s control/out of their control.

Session #2

  • High Energy Foods: foods that give them energy vs. taking energy away
  • 3-5 Easy High Energy Food recipes to try (optional)
  • Experiential Exercise: Chewing
  • Step 2:
    • Add in healthy fats. Have the client notice which fats are currently present in their diet and choose 2-3 new fats to try the following week.
    • Add in gentle, restorative exercises into their weekly routine to help lower cortisol levels (Yin Yoga, Tai Chi, etc.).

Session #3

  • Honoring Hunger & Fullness
  • Step 3:
    • Increase nutrient density. Focus on each meal having fiber, fat, and protein for optimal meal balancing to stabilize blood sugar & increase satiation.

    • Pro-actively address the stressors in their life.
    • What might your client have to let go of? Or what new perspective can they adopt if it is out of their control to remove it from their life so that it has less of an impact on their stress levels.

Session #4

  • Experiential Exercise: Mental Rehearsal of Pleasure and Success focused on creating an optimal physiological environment for a baby to thrive in.

    • Continue gentle restorative exercises
    • Continue to focus on each meal containing the adequate balance of fiber, fat, and protein.

Session #5

  • Self-Sabotage

    • Continue action steps from previous weeks and up-level them slightly if your client is ready.

Session #6

  • Being B-A-D
  • Experiential Exercise: Create a “Be Naughty” Menu (optional “Nourishment Menu”)

  • Step 4: 
    • Eliminate refined carbohydrates. Increase whole foods and reduce processed foods. Add in bridge foods like baked spaghetti squash to ease the transition.
    • Add in dynamic movement
      • 3 minutes of HIIT workouts 3 times per week (i.e.: jumping rope, jumping jacks, stairs, etc.).
    • Continue slow restorative movements for the bulk of their movement regimen.

Session #7

  • Nourishment: What wants to be nourished in them? Where is there potential for greater expression?
  • Experiential Exercise: Wheel of Life

    • Step 5:
      • Add in fermented foods. If your client is new to fermented foods, try adding a fermented food to one meal each day.
      • Prioritize and optimize quality sleep. Help your client find ways to maximize the hours of sleep they get each night.

Session #8

  • How to Relax
  • Experiential Exercise: The 5-5-7 4-7-8 Breath

    • “Slow down” Action Steps
    • Step 6:
      • Add in Target-Specific Foods to positively influence different aspects of fertility. Examples: cruciferous vegetables, sea vegetables, buckwheat, carob, and grapefruit, etc.

Session #9

      • Have your client journal on how she feels about being pregnant.

Session #10

  • Review Personal Power homework and open a discussion for what came up for your client around becoming pregnant.
